Vernon MC College Graduates celebrate in Style!

What’s the perfect way to kick start a career in the beauty industry? Have a Graduation party…. that’s what! From big hair to perfectly polished nails, the Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Red Deer, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Vernon MC College graduates celebrated their success with family, friends, industry partners and MC staff.

Last month, I was invited to Vernon’s fall Graduation which was held at the Spallumcheen Golf and Country club.  As the Rock Stars of the evening proceeded onto the stage, some cried while others hugged their Instructors with excitement. Throughout the night, speeches were made, and the Citizenship, Frank Cairo, Educational Achievement and Valedictorian awards were handed out. “Meet challenges with your head held high” said MC College Graduate and Valedictorian, Jessica Bushey.

From moustaches to outrageous perms and tiaras, the photo booth ( courtesy of John Morrison Photography) was a huge hit at grad. There was also a Christmas themed Candy bar which disappeared fast…..#nomnomnom, right?! After dinner, each graduate took one last selfie before they took on their shears and waxing strips as a MC College Alumni. You can see these photos on Instagram by searching #mccollege or #mcgrad
